Instagram is Rolling Out Changes to Notes: What You Need to Know

Instagram is adding a new twist to its Notes feature. Now, users can now leave notes directly on Reels or feed posts, making interactions more dynamic and engaging.

Key Changes:

  • New Locations for Notes: Previously, Notes appeared at the top of your inbox or above your profile photo. Now, you can attach Notes to posts from friends or brands, and see real-time reactions from others while scrolling.
  • Visibility: Only your friends can see your Notes, either followers you follow back or your “close friends” group. Notes on feed posts and Reels are visible for up to three days, compared to the 24-hour visibility of inbox and profile Notes.
  • Manageability: You can delete Notes anytime, and if you prefer not to use this feature, you can disable it for your posts and Reels in the settings.
